Tree at Shipwreck Beach on Lanai in Hawaii. In the distance is Maui. We spent the weekend on Lanai several years ago. Everyone we met was so incredibly nice. The first day we went searching for petroglyphs and came across this tree.

The tide pools off the trail to the Makapu`u Lighthouse on Oahu, Hawaii. It's a long trek down, but well worth it. Caution and awareness of your surroundings is necessary.

My daughter, a friend, and I hiked Sleeping Giant on the Island of Kauai. Near the summit was a short tunnel leading to this magnificent view. nfs
